Automatic deactivation of ADSL ports

Have more questions? Submit a request

Symptom:
Individual ADSL ports have been disabled without the configuration being changed accordingly.

Statement:
If an ADSL router is connected to another port from one xDSL port, that port will be automatically disabled. The same behavior occurs when a computer behind an ADSL modem or bridged ADSL router is operating on a different port.

Root cause:
The MAC address of the terminal appears on several xDSL ports. For security reasons, every additional port on which this MAC address appears is automatically deactivated.

Solution:
This behavior can be adjusted in the configuration of the IES-1248.
Deactivate it in the menu "Basic > Switch" under the option "MAC Anti-Spoofing".
