Newly delivered items are preconfigured for use on a Swisscom FTTH connection before being sent. The settings are lost through a reset and must be recreated if necessary.
The FTTH network has two operating modes. The corresponding operating mode is listed in the provider's documentation:
- Logging in via DHCP does not require a user name and relies on VLAN ID 10.
- PPPoE requires a username and password to log in and uses VLAN ID 11.
For the Swisscom FTTH network, activate the VLAN function (VLAN = Enable) in the Networking> VLAN menu. Activate VLAN on all Ethernet ports (Ethernet Port 1-4 = Enable) and set the VLAN ID (VID) for DHCP to 10, for PPPoE to 11 respectively. On the WAN1 interface, activate the Tag option and set the VLAN -ID (VID) for DHCP is also set to 10, for PPPoE to 11. Save the changes with Apply.
