In this article, we are going to show another way to get your first access to your NAS, which does not involve the findme feature.
Using the findme feature often results in a problem where the device can't be found. This can happen if the device does not have a correct IP address or is generally not able to communicate to the findme service. One way to access the NAS is by using the NAS Starter Utility.
1. Download and start the NAS Starter Utility:
2. Click on "NAS Seeker" and select your NAS, confirm with "Connect":
3. Click on "DeskTop":
4. Type in the admin credentials (per default admin / 1234)
5. From here on, please follow the steps in this article.
