They are critical and greatly contribute to your firewall's health: When the firewall runs, it creates heat. To prevent the firewall from overheating, rubber feet raise and elevate the firewall enough from the surface to allow airflow below it.
Overheat can cause it to shut off automatically, freeze or even damage the hardware.
