Bridge mode is also called cellular IP passthrough on many Zyxel LTE devices. This article will teach us how to set your NR7101 / FWA710 to bridge mode.
Please note that the default mode will be "Routing Mode / NAT Mode."
Please follow the steps below to configure bridge mode.
- Make sure you are connected to the NR7101 / FWA710 with either wireless or wired connection.
- Navigate to the web-based configuration using the address http://192.168.1.1 (via wired connection, go to http://192.168.2.1)
- Use "admin" for the username, and please check the device label for the password.
- Navigate the menu as described below:
-
Network Setting > Broadband > Cellular APN
- Then enable IP passthrough to set your device to bridge mode.
- Remember to click "Apply" to save your settings.
Now you have successfully set your NR7101 / FWA710 to bridge mode.
If you're having problems, set the IP Passthrough mode to Static to forward the traffic to a specific device address under (see picture 1):
Network Setting > Broadband > Cellular APN
Please find the user guide for the NR7101 attached to this article.
If You want to access the NR in IPPT Mode, you have two options:
1) via the inbuilt WiFi
2) via the WAN Interface (The local Ports will be leading to the LAN Gateway)
There will be two Mgmt Services Tabs on the Device GUI.
"MGMT Services" is being used if the device is in "WAN Routing Mode", and "MGMT Services for IP Passthrough" will be used if the device is in "IPPT Mode".
For Nebula, the Setup stays the same.
