Changes and Enhancement of the License Structure
- The IPSec VPN Client version supports MAC and Windows.
- There is two versions of SecuExtender - Perpetual & Subscription-based License
- Perpetual license is the old lifetime license used with the old perpetual VPN client (version 3.8.204.61.32)
- Subscription-based license is the new license used with the new VPN client
- The new version can only be used with the subscription-based license.
- The subscription-based license can be purchased for 1 or 3 years with 1/5/10/50 installations where all installations license consumption run after activating individual key per client.
- The subscription-based license only supports some features due to the new IPSec VPN Client version. Please refer to the release notes for a full feature/enhancement list.
- The Perpetual (Life Time) License end of sales will be effective 1st Aug. 2022

Perpetual vs. Subscription-based License
The End of Registration date for the perpetual version of SecuExtender is set to Friday, 31 March 2023 23:59:59 UTC.
That means effective 1st April/2023, you can no longer activate unused/stock lifetime-version SecuExtender licenses, including:
As of the legacy software SecuExtender IPSec VPN client v3.8.204.61.32 (unlock by the SecuExtender lifetime license), the End of Life date is set to Monday, 2-October-23 23:59:59 UTC.
That means that from 3rd October 2023, Zyxel Networks no longer offer technical support for this product, and will remove the software download link in the download library.
