XGS4600 Series - Advanced Routing License (for IPv6 RIPng and OSPFv3)

This article should explain the purpose of the Advanced Routing license for your XGS4600 switch and how to register and assign it to your switch.

1. What are the features unlocked?

The license will unlock two main features which are per default not available:

• RIPng
• OSPFv3

Please note that OSPF, RIPv1 and RIPv2 are already available without a license. The big difference is that RIPng and OSPFv3 are for IPv6. So in case you are planning an IPv6 network and require your switch to route IPv6, this license is a must.
