NR/FWA Series [5G Signal] - Cellular Band & Achieving a Good Signal

The main reason if you decide to buy a 5G device (NR5101, NR7101, FWA510, FWA710) is, to receive a 5G signal and using the device together with a 5G capable SIM Card from your provider (ISP).

The optimal result in your device would be to get a "5G-NR" signal, but so far the most providers only deliver kind of a "Fake 5G" with the assistance of LTE frequency + 5G enhancements.

So usually if you get the following result, it´s one of the best you can achieve:

You can see here, the SIM Card Status is Available and Celluar Status is "Up"

Access Technology show "NR-NSA" which means using Band: LTE + 5G Technology

In case you are only getting "LTE Signal" here, this can be one of the reasons:

I - Celluar Band not set to "Auto"

NR5G = Real 5G
4G = LTE only
Auto = can mix up 4G + 5G Enhancements and can reach "NR-NSA"

II - Throughput Test to see NR-NSA (5G) Result

The NR7101 syncs the Celluar Band flexible with the ISP. This means, in case there is no traffic need, it may show temporary "LTE", just start some traffic i.e. YouTube Stream or do a Speed Test with the APP LTE Ally or Zyxel Air and it will upgrade the speed back to 5G.
Note: Your Smartphone show more often 5G with the same SIM Card due to always background data are syncing to Cloud, APP Updates running and much more.

III - Wait 30 minutes

It can take time till the ISP allow you to connect to 5G and associate it correctly, so keep the device up to 30 min on a position with throughput to see if it can work with a 5G signal, make sure to test the position before with same SIM Card in a Smartphone. Refresh the Web Interface regularly, to see changes.
