Mobile Nebula Router - Change Generic Firmware to Nebula Firmware

In this KB article, you will find the Nebula Firmware Versions of LTE3301-PLUS, NR5101 and NR7101.

 

It could happen, that due to a mistake, the wrong firmware was loaded to the Nebula Mobile Router and the connection to the Nebula Cloud can not be established. In this case, you need to re-install the Nebula Firmware for the dedicated device via the Web GUI.

 

To check if you are using the correct hardware of Nebula Mobile Router, check this KB Article:

Here is the List of the Nebula Firmware Versions:

Nebula LTE3301-Plus 1.00(ACCA.0)C0
Nebula NR5101 1.00(ACCG.1)C0
Nebula NR7101 1.00(ACCC.1)C0

 

Firmware Update procedure (as an example for LTE3301-Plus):

Download the needed Firmware Version from the list above.

Check the firmware version you have on your device:

The Version V1.00(ABQU.4)C0 is the generic Version and integration of the device into nebula will not work.

In the Menu on the right side, go to

Maintenance -> Firmware Upgrade

Here you will see again the current Version and can choose the file you want to update by clicking "Choose File":

Select the zip file of the firmware Version and click on Upload, the device will reboot after the upload and install the new firmware:

When the Firmware update has been done you should see on the dashboard the correct Version:

When the firmware has been installed on the device, check if the mobile router will successfully go through the Nebula Discovery Process and will be shown Online in the Nebula Cloud Center.
