This article will show you how to set up your NR7101 or NWA710 (this could also be applied to your NR7103, NR7102, NR7101, FWA710, LTE7490, LTE7485, LTE7480, LTE7461, or LTE7240) and also increase the LTE / 4G throughput of your device if you are experiencing slow speed or get more speed from your mobile device.

1) Configure the device via the App - First steps
1a) Download and install the Zyxel Air App
Click on the icon to come to the download page for Google Play and App Store:
1b) Connect to the WiFi
Connect to the NR7101's WiFi found on the backside of the device:
1c: Quick Installation
Run the app and click on auto
Allow the application to find the NR7101, or else you need to go into the privacy settings on your phone to change it:
Do the Quick Setup afterwards:
Then wait for the mobile to find the NR7101:
Login with the admin and password found on the backside of your device (refer to the picture on Step 2):
If everything works, it should look like this:
2) If something goes wrong
2a) Can't find your Zyxel Device
Please make sure that you're on the correct WiFi. You should be connected to the WiFi of the NR7101 device, found on the backside of the device
2b) Can't find the WiFi
Press the black WiFi button for 5 seconds to activate the WiFi, if you cannot find the WiFi on your mobile phone.
2c) If SIM card isn't detected
Make sure that you put in the SIM card the correct way. Make sure that you hear a "click" when you insert it and make sure you have the SIM card in the SIM 1 slot, and not SIM 2. If that doesn't work, try the SIM card in your mobile phone to make sure that it works.
2d) No Service
If your device recognize the SIM card but you've got no service, you might need to configure the manual APN in the application:
Click on settings and then APN configuration:
Set the APN configuration to "Manual" and fill in the APN, Username and password that you get after you contact your internet service provider (ISP). They know what APN settings you should use.
One trick to find your APN is to insert the SIM card in the mobile phone and then go into your APN settings of your mobile phone when you have a signal. Take a screenshot or copy the APN settings and then insert the APN settings into your NR7101.
3) If speed is Slow
3a) Go into your cellular information to see your signal strength

3b) Direct your NR7101 / FWA710 to the nearest tower
Because the NR7101 has directional antennas, please use the Zyxel Air App (Android / iOS) to direct the device's antennas towards the best and nearest cell tower. And if that doesn't help, please insert the SIM card from the NR7101 into your mobile phone to see if the internet speed (throughput is improved.
3c) Firmware upgrade your NR7101 / FWA710
Firmware upgrading to the latest firmware is very important for security fixes, bug fixes etc. but it can also improve speed and performance. So make sure that you have the latest firmware found here:
