Zyxel USG FLEX H-Series firewalls (such as USG FLEX 50H, 100H, 500H, and 700H) are designed for centralized management through the Nebula Cloud platform. To take full advantage of Nebula’s features — such as remote configuration, monitoring, and security service management — your device must first be registered and added to your Zyxel account.
Note: Regardless of whether you plan to use the device in Nebula Cloud mode or in standalone mode, it still needs to be registered to your Zyxel account before it can be fully activated and managed.
This article explains how to register a USG FLEX H device on the Nebula platform, link it to your organization or site, and verify successful activation.
There are three main ways to register your Zyxel USG FLEX H-Series firewall in Nebula Cloud. Each method achieves the same result — adding your device to your Nebula organization and site — but the process may differ depending on whether you are setting up the device for the first time or adding it later.
1. During Initial Setup (First-Time Installation)

When you power on your USG FLEX H for the first time and connect it to the Internet, registering your Zyxel device is required to access the web interface, activate security services, and receive firmware updates. Make sure your Zyxel Device can access the Internet. Click Register to go to Nebula Control Centre (NCC) to register your Zyxel Device. NCC is an Internet portal that enables you to manage and monitor groups of Zyxel devices within organisations.
You can just enter your login details if you have an account. Otherwise, you can create a new one.
To register your USG FLEX H firewall with Nebula, please select an Organization and a Site under your authority, or create new ones. You organize Zyxel devices in Nebula into Organizations, for example, "YourCompany" or "YourClient", and Sites, for example, "London Branch" or "Factory".
- Please review your device & license information and follow the prompts in the registration menu to complete the registration of the new device. After all, steps have been completed, you will return to the "Device Registration" step and the registration status will change to "Registered".
The registration process may take a few minutes. After that, you will see a confirmation that the registration was successful.
Click 'Next' to proceed to the next step.
2. Using the QR Code
Each Zyxel USG FLEX H device has a QR code printed on its label or box.
You can scan this QR code using the Nebula Mobile App (available for iOS and Android).
After logging in, go to Add Device → Scan QR Code, and the device will be automatically registered to your Nebula organization and site.

Navigate to Organization > Inventory.
Click “Register”.
Enter the Serial Number and MAC Address of your USG FLEX H device.
Select the desired organization and site, then confirm.
