USG FLEX - SMS Notification (Email-to-SMS)

The Email to SMS function can send the SMS to the client. The SMS message is installed from the device to the SMS provider, and then the SMS provider sends the SMS to the client. This function can ensure that the user receives SMS if the client has no Internet connection.

 

1. Create and Sett up "ClickSend Account"

2. Setup notification on Firewall - "SMS" 

3. Setup notification on Firewall - "Mail Server"

1. Create and Setup "ClickSend Account"

Sign-up an account for an Email to SMS service and purchase credit Check the Email-to-SMS provider available in your country and choose the SMS gateway provider to meet your needs.

Example: SMSGlobal (https://www.smsglobal.com/)

After Sing-in to SMSGlobal,  Go to setup and allow the Email address on SMSGlobal.

Go to SMS  > Email SMS. Enter the Email address which sends mail to SMSGlobal.

2. Setup notification on Firewall - "SMS " 

Go to Configuration > System > Notification > SMS 

1. Select the "Enable SMS" check box to turn on the feature.

2.  Enter the "Сountry code". This setting serves only the convenience of users. When the customer enters their phone number, they will be able to change the country code to their own. 

3. Select "Provider domain"

4. You can also specify the e-mail subject and sender, but these settings are not necessary in this case.

5. Click "Apply"

3. Setup notification on Firewall - "Mail Server"

Go to CONFIGURATION > System > Notification > Mail Server Field your SMTP serve configuration.

  1. Mail server
  2. Mail server ports
  3. Mail From
  4. SMTP Authentication (For example, you use a Gmail account with two-factor authentication, in which case you should use the APP password)


In case of the successful sending of a message in the logs of your device, you will see the following entries:
