The HA Pause Allow users to pause synchronisation and disable automatic failover during troubleshooting temporarily. The HA Pause function can only be initiated from the active device. Enabling **Pause Device HA** does not unpair the two firewalls; instead, it temporarily suspends monitored interface checks, heartbeat communication, and file synchronisation.
Note: Before you click Apply, turn off the passive device. It is essential to power off the passive device (disconnect it from the power source) before activating "Pause Device HA." Failure to do so may result in both devices becoming active at the same time, potentially causing network conflicts and disruptions.
When HA pause is enabled, a warning banner will appear on the following pages to remind users
You can also check the log and system status to make sure that the pause mode is activated correctly.
Once all necessary changes or tests have been completed, you may deactivate Pause Mode and reconnect the passive device to the power supply.
Note: In some cases, after this procedure, any changes made on the active device will continue to be automatically synchronised with the passive device. However, the synchronisation status may not update initially. To resolve this, simply start the synchronisation manually once. After that, the status will update normally.
To start synchronisation manually:
Important! After Pause Mode is disabled, any changes made on the active device will not be synchronised with the passive device until one of the following actions is taken:
- No further configuration changes are made on the active device that would trigger automatic synchronisation.
- A full manual synchronisation is initiated via the Web Console, as shown in the example below.
But we recommend that you invoke full synchronization just by using the command:
cmd device-ha force-sync full
In the upper right corner of the device's web interface and click on “Web Console”
enter the command:
cmd device-ha force-sync full
Check status (After that, the latest synchronisation status and all changes will be updated correctly)
