Zyxel Nebula WLAN Neighbor Scan Live Tool

Neighbor Scan Live Tool is a built-in tool in NCC (Nebula Control Center). It shows a list of devices that send beacon frames or reply to probe requests near the access point.

Main features

  • The access point scans all supported radio bands and channels.

  • The list shows only nearby devices. It does not show signals from the local AP.

  • The list supports sorting only (by default, it is sorted by Last Seen).

  • Filtering and exporting data are not supported in this version.

How It Works

During the scan, the access point checks the radio environment and creates a list of detected BSSIDs with the following information:

  • BSSID

  • SSID

  • Channel

  • Band

  • 802.11 Mode

  • Security

  • Last Seen

Last Seen Parameter

The Last Seen field shows the time when the network was last detected during the scan.

  • The value is updated when the same network is found again.

  • By default, the list is sorted by the time of the last detection.

  • If the network is not detected again, the entry stays in the list for up to 90 minutes.
