Zyxel Nebula Access Points include a built-in diagnostic utility that allows administrators to generate support logs and troubleshooting files directly from the local Web GUI.
These diagnostic files are essential for analyzing:
- AP offline issues
- WiFi client disconnects
- roaming problems
- DHCP/DNS failures
- cloud connectivity issues
- wireless performance degradation
This article explains how to collect diagnostic information from a Zyxel Nebula AP using the local GUI interface before opening a support case with Zyxel Support.
Prerequisites
Before collecting diagnostics, ensure the following requirements are met:
- The AP is powered on and connected to the network
- Your PC is connected to the same subnet as the AP
- You know the AP IP address
- Administrator credentials are available
- A web browser is installed
Note: Depending on the firmware version, the AP may display an HTTPS certificate warning because it uses a self-signed certificate.
Find the AP IP Address in Nebula
- Log in to the Nebula Control Center.
- Navigate to: Site-wide - Devices - Access points
Access the AP Local Web GUI
- Open a web browser.
- Enter the AP IP address using HTTPS:
Open the Diagnostics Menu
After successfully logging in to the AP local GUI:
- Navigate to: Maintenance → Diagnostics
