I'm a new owner of a Zywall USG40 router. I can't seem to send out e-mail... reminiscent of failures in Netgear etc (other minimalist home gateway routers) that only use Port 25... an ancient, obsolete method. Egad, can't someone show an example using a widely-accepted service like google mail aka "gmail"? Why show a Taiwanese mail server? Please.
I succeeded first using smtp.charter.net and port 587. Then, eventually, smtp.gmail.com and port 587. There is no lag with the charter-sent mail but a 5 to 7 minute lag in the google-sent mail.
