If you would like to reset the device to the factory default configuration, the simplest way is to log in to CLI mode. For GS/XGS. NOT for NSW.
Please use Putty on Windows or a similar SSH client to login into your switch. You will need to type in the IP of the switch as the client. You will get asked to enter the username and password for your switch. After the login, please enter the following commands:
Switch# erase running-config
Switch# write memory
This will bring your switch back to factory default.
