Zyxel phased out the SecuExtender perpetual license on USG / USG FLEX / ATP / VPN series
Subscription-based licenses will replace the perpetual license (EoL) and are available now.
Affected devices:
- Legacy USG / Zywall Series
- USG FLEX Series
- ATP Series

Key Notes:
- It's no longer possible to buy or activate the Perpetual SecuExtender licenses
- If they are activated and is already used, they will continue to work
- If you want to use SecuExtender, you need to use the subscription-based Client with the subscription-based license

FAQ
1. Can I use Perpetual Config Export and Import into the new Subscription-based client?
If you import TGB files from Subscription-based to Perpetual-based VPN client, it may cause unexpected issues because the configuration sets are different.
We recommend that users obtain a new TGB provision file again from the firewall.
2. A Windows computer crashed, do you still support license renew for activation of existing ones?
We support re-activation of the perpetual license until 2 October 2023 after that, we at the Support organization cannot activate the license anymore and will not support it.
3. Can we can contact support after April 1st to convert license into Subscription one?
There is a license key swap program in place, where our customer is eligible to swap their unregistered lifetime key to a 3 year subscription key.
