This article will show you how to configure Zyxel Layer 3 switches such as the GS2220, XS3800, XMG1930, XS1930, XGS2220 and Dante AV System. (Audio Video over IP)

1. IGMP configuration
Go to switch WebGUI and choose "Network AV Mode" -> "Basic Settings" and press "Next"
We recommend changing the default password to a more complex one. If you plan to do this later, you can skip the "Password" and "IP" settings by clicking "Next", move on to "Summary", and press "Finish"
Dante Audio over IP application requests to use DiffServ Qos in the network switch for managing traffic, and PTP multicast group are used for the syncing clock to avoid audio delay issues.
2. Enable DiffServ DSCP
1. Go to WebGUI and select "Standard" mode
2. Select Switching > QoS > Diffserv
3. Diffserv Switch to position Active
4. Active Diffserv for all ports
After that, apply the changes by clicking the "Apply" button.
3. Switch configuration (GS2220 and XS3800)
Add Static Multicast By MAC
1. Go to Switching > Multicast > Static Multicast Forwarding by MAC
2. Click Add/Edit button to Add Static Multicast address
3. Configure PTP multicast address
- Active: On
- MAC address: Multicast address
- VID: Audio VLAN

Port: All ports
For the changes to be applied, click "Apply"
Create PTP multicast address range as below

4. Switch configuration (XMG1930, XS1930 and XGS2220)
1. Go to Switching > Multicast > Static Multicast Forwarding by IP
2. Click Add/Edit button to Add Static Multicast address entries
3. Configure PTP multicast address
- IP address: Multicast IP address
- VID: Audio VLAN
- Port: All ports
For the changes to be applied, click "Apply"
Create PTP multicast address range as below
