This article will explain how to activate PoE Extended Range on your GS1350 series switch.
Walkthrough Steps:
Access the web configuration page and enter your credentials (by default username “admin” and password “1234” )
Navigate to “Basic Setting > Port Setup”
Tick the checkbox “Extended Range” on the needed port
Now you are able to operate PoE-cameras with an ethernet cable length of up to 250 meters!
In case you are wondering: The PoE extended range feature won´t let your switch consume more power than the usual PoE. It will only let the PD draw a maximum of 15W per extended range port.
