The article explains how to determine if you own a Nebula Mobile (LTE/5G) Router or a non-Nebula Mobile Router and their compatibility with Nebula Cloud integration. It lists Nebula-supported devices like the Nebula LTE3301-Plus, NR5101, and NR7101. The guide is divided into checking hardware and software variants. Nebula hardware variants can be added to the NCC organization, unlike generic ones. The software variant section notes that non-Nebula devices cannot be converted to Nebula devices through firmware updates. It provides details on recognizing both hardware and software variants.
Nebula Supported devices:
Device Name | Product Number |
Nebula LTE3301-Plus | LTE3301-PLUS-EUZNN1F |
Nebula NR5101 | NR5101-EUZNN1F |
Nebula NR7101 | NR7101-EUZNN1F |
This article is divided into two sections on how to check your device:
Hardware Variant
Each mobile router model comes with two possible variants:
Nebula Hardware Variant – can add hardware to NCC organization.
How to recognize the Nebula hardware variant?
Generic Hardware Variant – cannot add hardware to NCC organization
If you don't have the Indicators mentioned above on the Box / Hardware, the device is not supported to integrate into the Nebula Cloud.
Software Variant
Each mobile router model can upgrade to its generic or nebula firmware version.
There is no possibility to update a non-Nebula device to a Nebula device via firmware update.
Nebula Software Variant – supports NCC discovery.
How to recognize software variants of the mobile Router?
Generic Software Variant – does not support NCC discovery
For generic devices, you see the firmware version in the release notes :
