How to Remove a User from a Nebula Organization

In this article, we will explain how to remove a user from your organization in Nebula if you are the owner, as well as how to leave an organization on your own if you were added by an owner or administrator. We will cover all scenarios: removing and deactivating accounts as an owner, self-deactivation for users with administrator rights, and the restrictions for users with read-only access.

How the Owner Can Remove or Deactivate a User

If you are the owner of an organization in Nebula, you have full control over the member list. To remove or deactivate a user, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Nebula admin panel and open Administrators

  2. Find the user you want to manage in the list.

  3. Click on their profile and select Remove or Deactivate.

    • Remove — completely revokes the user’s access to your organization.

    • Deactivate — temporarily disables access (you can restore it later if needed).

This way, you can quickly manage the access of employees or partners while maintaining the security and relevance of your organization’s membership.

Deactivate — temporarily disables access (you can restore it later if needed).

Remove — completely revokes the user’s access to your organization.

How an Administrator Can Deactivate Their Account

If you are an administrator of an organization (but not the owner), you can remove the organization from your list on your own. To do this:

  1. Go to your Nebula.

  2. Open the Organization section.

  3. Find the organization you want to leave and click Administrators.

Deactivate — temporarily disables access (Organization owner or other Administrator can restore it later if needed).

If You Have Read-Only Access

If you have been granted read-only access, you cannot remove or deactivate your account on your own. In this case:

  • You must contact the owner or an administrator of the organization.

  • Only they can remove or deactivate your account.

This restriction is in place to ensure that organization owners can control third-party access to data and prevent accidental account removals.
