Zyxel Nebula NCC: Remote SSH and Remote Configurator Live Tools

Beginning with Nebula Release 19.20, the Remote SSH and Remote Configuration features are now included for all organizations using the Nebula Base Pack—no Pro Pack license required.

Previously, access to these capabilities required upgrading an organization to the Nebula Pro Pack. With this update, all newly created organizations (which start on the Base Pack by default) can immediately leverage these remote management functions without any additional licensing.

Affected Product Lines

  • USG FLEX H Series

  • USG FLEX / ATP Series

  • Firewalls in Monitoring Mode

  • Mobile Routers

  • Access Points

  • Switches

Impact on Mobile Routers

  • Mobile Routers no longer require a Pro Pack license to use Remote Configurator.

  • Future Mobile Router models will be categorized as NebulaFlex and NebulaFlex PRO:

    • NebulaFlex models are suitable for home or SOHO environments that do not benefit significantly from Pro Pack features.

    • NebulaFlex PRO models are intended for larger-scale deployments with cloud-managed APs, switches, and firewalls that utilize Pro Pack capabilities.
