Create a backup job
- Log in to the web interface of the destination NAS using the admin account.
- Navigate to Control Panel > Privilege & Sharing > Shared Folders, then click the + button.
- Enter a suitable name for the folder (e.g., "backup") and click "Next".
- Check the "Read/Write" box to grant all users Read/Write privileges. Click "Next", then "Apply". - Log in to the web interface of the main NAS using the admin account.
- Open "Backup Planner" and click the + button.
- Enter a name and description for your backup job select the "Mirror" option, then click "Next".
- Choose the source folder you want to back up and click "Next".
- Select the "Remote" option, and enter the IP address of the destination NAS and the admin credentials. Click "Show Target Content" to verify. Ensure that the admin passwords are different for both locations.
- Select the folder created in Step 1 and click "Next"
- Configure the backup schedule as desired, then click "Next" and finally "Apply".
- Start the backup.
- Select the newly created backup job and click the "Play" button.

To get started, you first need to set up where the Files shall be saved.
- On Windows 10, navigate to
Settings > Backup > More Options > See advanced settings > Select drive > - Add network Share and point to the share on your NAS.
- Select the created path and click on "OK".
- To activate it, click on "Turn on".
The files will then start copying to the NAS.

- Navigate to
Settings > Updates & Security > Backup > More Options > Restore files from a current backup - Click on the restore button located at the bottom of the window.

great article , Also I would to add that I use the easy way to backup to NAS, I use the Gs Richcopy 360 tool which has all the needed features, also it's quick and simple
