This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough for setting up Wi-Fi on Zyxel NBG series devices, covering essential steps like configuring a wireless network name (SSID) and establishing a strong WPA2 security profile, instructions for configuring primary and guest Wi-Fi networks, and modifying wireless settings, including changing SSID name (WIFI name), Wi-Fi password, and guest network details, applicable to various NBG models.
Login to your router
- You can Login to your router via http://192.168.1.1 (if it's in router mode) or http://192.168.1.2 (non-router mode) with the user name admin and the password 1234
- Non-router mode means that the router is in repeater mode and acts as an access point, while router mode means that the router acts as the main router and hands out IP addresses to the clients in the network.
If you can't reach the router through the IP address, look at this article: Accessing your router via Web GUI

Note: Note that you have to disable Zyxel MESH in the Network Setting > Wireless > Mesh screen to deselect the Smart Connect check box.
Guest WiFi Settings
This screen allows you to enable or disable the guest 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz WiFi networks. When the switch is moved to the right ( ), the feature is turned on. If the switch is not to the right, the feature is off. You can view the SSIDs (WiFi network names) and passwords from this screen. To reveal or hide the WiFi passwords, click the eye icon.
Click the Arrow icon ( ) to open the following screen. Use this screen configure the SSIDs and/or passwords for your guest WiFi networks.
To set different SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz guest WiFi networks, uncheck the Smart Connect option in the WiFi Settings screen. This will update the Guest WiFi Settings screen accordingly. Please note that you must first disable Zyxel MESH by going to Network Setting > Wireless > Mesh before you can uncheck the Smart Connect option.
