This article will explore the process of connecting the DX3301-T0 to a DSL line and setting it up for VoIP services. - Configure SIP Account
- Note! The VoIP works only when 802.1p is set to Prio 5.
- For VoIP, we need to add a SIP Account.
- Click on the left symbol below "Modify" to modify the Account settings:
- Click on the checkbox to enable SIP Account, then enter your SIP account number, username & password, URL type, and the Voice features. Please contact your internet provider (ISP) to get the information below:
- Next, we need to define the Provider Profile. Click on the left button below modify to modify the Service Provider:
- Make sure the SIP Service Provider is enabled and enter the SIP Service Provider information. Please contact your internet provider (ISP) to get the information below:
- Then we activate the registration and should see the status as registered. Click on the "flip-switch" to Register Action and then the "Registration" should state "Registered"
Note: The format of the number entry may determine whether your configuration will work. For example, if your provider is Deutsche Telekom, you need 0049 (special characters do not work with Deutsche Telekom). Other providers only require 49 or +49. This is just an example and at the time you configure the device, this may change on the operator's side. Check this information with your service provider.
Configure Internet Connection (Broadband / DSL / PPPoE)
Note: PPPoE only works when a Broadband Profile with 802.1q VLAN ID 7 is used.
- Navigate to Broadband and click on the left button below "Modify" to modify the internet connection settings:
- Select the Mode to "routing" if you want to have the router as a router.
- Choose the Encapsulation to the internet connection you're having (e.g. PPPoE)
- The IPv4/IPv6 Mode, PPP information (PPPoE account settings)
- The VLAN (if needed)
- MTU size (for PPPoE usually is 1492)
- IP Address (set to static IP or DHCP)
